Refund Policy

We want you to feel good about your purchase. This policy explains when you can get a refund on BimmerByte and how to request one. Free queries are, well, free — this only applies to paid plans (Pro and Founder).

14-day money-back guarantee

If you're not happy with BimmerByte within 14 daysof your first paid charge on a plan, we'll refund you in full — provided you've used 10% or lessof that plan's query allowance during the period. No interrogation, no questionnaire.

Renewals

Subscriptions auto-renew. We send a reminder before a Founder (annual) renewal. If a renewal goes through and you didn't mean to keep the plan:

  • Annual (Founder).Email us within 14 days of the renewal and we'll refund the renewal, provided you've used 10% or less of the new period's queries. Your access ends when the refund is processed.
  • Monthly (Pro).Monthly charges are generally non-refundable after the 14-day initial window, but you can cancel any time and you won't be charged again.

When we can't refund

  • You've used more than 10% of the period's query quota.
  • The request is more than 14 days after the charge.
  • The account was suspended or terminated for breach of our Terms of Service (abuse, fraud, scraping, account sharing, etc.).
  • The charge is from a third party we don't control (e.g. a card-issuer fee, currency-conversion fee charged by your bank).

How to request a refund

Email hello@bimmerbyte.co.za from the address tied to your BimmerByte account. Include the date and amount of the charge if you have it handy. We'll reply within a few business days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method.

How refunds are processed

Payments are handled by PayPal. Approved refunds are issued through PayPal and typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card network. If you paid with a card via PayPal, the refund returns to that card; if you paid from a PayPal balance, it returns there. You'll receive an email confirmation from PayPal when the refund is processed.

Service issues

If BimmerByte is unusable for an extended period (multi-day outage, AI provider failure we can't recover from), email us and we'll either credit additional queries to your account or pro-rate a refund for the affected period — whichever you prefer.

Chargebacks

If you have an issue, please email us first. Filing a chargeback before contacting us generally results in account termination because it locks the funds in dispute. We'd rather sort it out directly.

Changes

We may update this policy. The version in effect when you bought your plan is the one that applies to that purchase. Material changes are flagged here with a new “last updated” date.
